The Association of Mutual Insurers (AMI) was founded in September 2004 and is a recognised trade body specifically for UK mutual insurers. NFU Mutual is a founding member of AMI and supports the work of that organisation in representing the interests of the members through lobbying and communicating with bodies such as the Financial Services Authority, UK Treasury, politicians, the European Union and other relevant trade organisations.
