The Wildlife Trust is a charity that works for a better future for wildlife across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough. It manages 129 nature reserves covering over 5,500 acres all with free public access; works to protect rare species (such as the otter, dormouse, great crested newt and barn owl); and fights to save sites where wildlife and the countryside is threatened. It involves people in every aspect of its work, through educating children about their natural environment, and encouraging everyone to enjoy wildlife and wild places in towns and the countryside.
