Who they are
Country Markets began in 1919 with the opening of a co-operative produce Market in Lewes, East Sussex. Originally known as WI Country Markets they separated from the Nation Federation of Womens Institutes in 1995 and became self financing. The name change to just Country Markets finally took place in 2004. They now have 450 markets all over the country with producers providing a vast range of cakes, pies, jams and preserves as well as crafts and much much more.
