Ronnie Mercer - Senior Agent
After a career in the financial services industry, Ronnie is very enthusiastic about bringing his business and personnel management skills to take on the responsibility of managing the NFU branch in Ayr. During his time in charge over the last 4 years the branch has consolidated business relationships with our existing customers and is on course to implement our plans to bring our range of products and services to the wider public. Ronnie is a local Secretary for NFU Scotland and a dedicated golfer when time allows.
Roy Hughes - Agent
Roy has enjoyed a 30 year career in the insurance industry - most of which has been spent with NFU Mutual - and is well known to most of our longstanding clients in the agricultural sector. He has decided to continue to work in the business with the branch and we are delighted that his knowledge and experience remains available to our current and new customers and to the team. Roy is a local secretary for NFU Scotland and is an enthusiastic participant in local sports and community activities.
Sandy White - Agent
Sandy has had a 30 year career dealing with commercial insurance with a major general insurer including responsibility for their offices in Ayr and Dumfries. Most recently he has worked as a Key Account Manager for that organisation and as Insurance Manager for a large property management company based in Glasgow. He is delighted to have the opportunity to deal direct with our customers and assist the team in meeting the insurance requirements for new customers in a wider market from our new branch in Miller Road.
Andrew White
Andrew has built a very successful foundation to a career working with the team since joining in January 2008 to promote our extensive range of General Insurance products and Risk Management Services. Following an academic career at Agricultural College at Auchincruive and with a longstanding interest and aptitude in all matters related to golf, Andrew has chosen to continue his business career on home territory.
Eleanor Wilson
Eleanor joined us in August 2010 after a successful career in the accounts and customer relationship team with the same employer for the last 20 years. She is very enthusiastic about the challenge presented by her new role with our branch and is looking forward to assisting our customers arrange Home and Car cover and to review their Life & Pensions requirements along with our Financial Consultants.
Susan Colqhoun
Susan joined the team recently looking for a new challenge after graduating from University and establishing a very successful management career in retail business. An enthusiastic supporter and administrator of rural events, Susan will divide her time between helping to build our business relationships with our traditional market and looking to extend our activities in dealing with wider market customers.
Shona Kennerley
Shona has spent over 25 years in customer relations since graduating from University and has worked with the team for the last 2 years as our first point of contact in dealing with our customers. Shona has a keen interest in equine matters and enjoys looking after her own horse.
Brendan Barrett
Brendan is responsible for the day to day administration and compliance matters relating to the business. He has built up good working relationships with our longstanding customers based on his extensive practical knowledge of our Personal Home and Motor products and accounting procedure and practice.
Heather Barclay
Heather who returns to the business in October 2011 after maternity leave following the birth of twin boys is well known within the Agricultural business community locally,and plays a very active role in all aspects of Young Farmer social and educational activities.
Janet Stalker
Janet handles administration and daily accounting matters for the business to ensure that documents are prepared and issued accurately and payments are allocated and reconciled correctly. Janet has expanded her product knowledge to include Car, Home and Equine policies.
Lisa Young
Lisa joined us recently and has quickly learned about our Home and Car, Tractor and Commercial Vehicle policies so that she is able to take primary responsibility for claims administration based on her well established knowledge of all classes of our General Insurance policies. Lisa’s background is with a farming family and like Heather she is an enthusiastic member of Young Farmers.
Jackilyn Stewart
Jackilyn is the most recent recruit to the team but comes to us with a very strong background of insurance experience and knowledge of our Home, Vehicle and Personal Lifestyle products. Jackilyn is enthusiastic about building good business relationships with our customers and providing a high quality service to them. Away from the branch Jackilyn has been involved in local community organisations for the last 15 years.
