NFYFC is a member-led voluntary youth organisation with a network of self-governing Young Farmers' Clubs located throughout England and Wales. Its 24,000 members are aged between 10 and 26 years, come from a variety of backgrounds and live or work in rural areas. The organisation’s core objectives include advancing the education of its members and developing their self-reliance and responsibilities.
RHET aims to create an opportunity for each child in Scotland to experience the countryside and to facilitate a wider understanding of the environmental, economic and social realities of rural Scotland. Its key activities include farm visits, classroom speaker visits and a number of high profile national competitions.
AFCP assists charities that support the agrifood industry by enabling them to find other charities as partners in projects. It allows applicants to identify charities that can meet their needs. They provide relevant information about industry initiatives and they facilitate interaction with major organisations.
Farming Help brings together three national charities that work to benefit the farming community. Each charity provides different but complementary forms of help and support to meet a wide range of needs. The Farming Help charities are ARC-Addington Fund, Farm Crisis Network (FCN) and Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).
Rural Support provides a contact service in Northern Ireland, which people can use to find practical help or simply to talk to someone about their concerns and those of their family.
The aims of the Trust are to promote agricultural, horticultural, forestry and countryside management education in the UK and abroad and also to advance the standard of UK farming (including the food supply chain, horticulture, forestry and countryside management) through the provision of Scholarships enabling the study of practices and techniques employed anywhere in the world.
The charity aims to expand the horizons of children from towns and cities all over the country by offering them a week in the countryside living together in one of their farms. The children learn hands-on where their food comes from, the importance of caring for animals on the land, and the value of working co-operatively as a team.
