Congratulations to Janet Alden-Smith, from Kent, who won a fantastic Apple iPad worth over £400 in the Flimwell Agency Summer Free Prize Draw.  Martin Webber, Agent and Group Secretary (pictured on the right), presented the iPad to Janet Alden-Smith at Flimwell Agency office on Friday 29 July. 

This year NFU Mutual Flimwell branch were proud to sponsor the Emile Faurie Foundation Midsummer's Garden Party held on Sunday 26 June at Bull Farm, Cranbrook by kind permission of Juliette and Dominic Langdon-Down.  During the event there was a wine reception and buffet, dressage demo by Emile Faurie, a dressage quadrille to music, Emily Baldwin with her Badminton horse 'Drivetime', a special guest appearance from famed opera singer Michael Renier, Jazz Duo 'On Route' and a fantastic Auction of Promises.

The Emile Faurie Foundation was founded in 2006 by one of the UK’s leading equine sportsmen, Emile Faurie.  The Foundation is a unique collaboration of schools, riding establishments and fundraisers whose aim is to help as many children as possible to experience the joys and benefits of horsemanship.  To find out more information about the charity and how you can support it, please go to www.emilefauriefoundation.org.uk.

On Sunday 10th April 2011, NFU Mutual Flimwell branch sponsored the third race at the well attended annual Catsfield Point-to-Point Races, near Battle. Martin Webber and Michele Jarvis presented the winning jockey, Mr Peter Bull, with a cup as well as prizes for being the winning horse’s owner and trainer.

Matthew Howgego spent the day with Cranbrook Bowls Club's annual 'American Pairs' competition on 3rd of September 2010, and raised £132 to go towards the clubs designated charity 'Hospice in the Weald' by running a raffle to win a Luxury Organic Hamper donated by the Flimwell branch.
