Attended by over 1500 first school pupils, this is the biggest educational event of its kind in the north of England. Working with the committee, Jayne is aiming to ensure that once again, all pupils leave with a sense that our countryside is a place full of opportunity, diversity, fun and excitement.

Every June, the Glendale Showfield near Wooler is transformed into an open air classroom giving children a unique opportunity to learn more about the countryside. Jayne, who grew up in Glendale is well qualified to steer this event and this is the second time she has been invited to do so.

Her role as an agent for NFU Mutual based in Morpeth and life on the family farm at Bowsden Moor, Berwick-upon-Tweed with husband Jonathan and two children James (6) and Thomas (4), means she is well aware of the importance of rural issues.

James who attends Lowick First School will be attending the event for the first time and is looking forward to seeing it first hand.

The NFU Mutual Community Giving Fund has provided pre-school children with a storage shed for their outdoor equipment and toys.

Lowick Pre-School is a registered charity, run entirely by volunteers and relies heavily on the support of the public.

The pre-school chairman and NFU Mutual agent, Jayne Watson comments on how much playing outdoors benefits the children's learning experience.

The generous gift was paid for by NFU Mutual and built by members of the community over the winter, despite the challenging weather.

Northumberland and Durham Agencies hosted a champagne reception for all their customers at Northumberland County Show. A fabulous day was had by all in the glorious sunshine. Sir Don Curry, NFU Mutual Chairman, welcomed existing and new customers onto the stand to celebrate our centenary year.
