Overview

We can offer travel insurance to ensure you benefit from the right protection, whether you're planning a short break or need cover for regular trips on business or pleasure. (Our Annual Travel insurance for regular trips is available to policyholders insuring their home contents with us).

It is important to have the right type of cover for you. By talking to us you can ensure you're comfortable with the cover we offer through our travel insurance.

Travel insurance features

NFU Mutual's travel insurance offers many features and benefits to protect you and your loved ones on holiday. There are a few examples listed below:

  • Medical expenses
    medical treatment, emergency dental or eye treatment, additional accommodation and travel expenses up to £5 million per person (with a £50 excess)
  • Loss of money or credit cards
    travel tickets, passports and travellers cheques up to £1000 and cash up to £250 (an excess of £50 applies)
  • Delayed departure cover
    up to £250 per person with £50 for the first 12 hours, as long as the delay is after cover commenced

Travel insurance additional information

There are two options for travel insurance dependent on whether you are a frequent traveller or just require cover for one trip:

Annual Travel Period of cover - Any trip of up to 30 days within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands for at least two nights (only available to customers who insure their home contents with us).

Single Trip Period of cover - Cover starts as soon as we accept your application and runs for the length of your trip, but does not include cancellation expenses.
