Welcome to our NFU Mutual branch in Peterborough. We have been a part of Peterborough life for over 90 years and therefore feel justified when we say that we know the area, and know the people.
Peter joined the Peterborough office in 2011 having previously been an agent of the NFU Mutual in Dry Drayton. He has worked in the insurance industry for over 35 years, and has an extensive knowledge in all classes of insurance. As well as looking after the insurances of both new and existing customers, he is also the NFU Group Secretary along with Helen. Peter is seen here with Robin Morton of M & F Farms, who as well as farming runs the Willowbrook Farm Shop, which specialises in their own beef as well as other locally sourced food. Peter grew up in Mid Devon, moving to Cambridgeshire in 2000 with his wife and two sons.
2010 is Helen’s 30th year with the branch, having joined Stuart as Agent in 1980. Helen’s expertise is business, personal and specialist insurance and she is seen here conducting a client review with Rob Matthews of Top Flora. She caries out annual reviews for existing customers, and arranges appointments for Emma, our Financial Consultant. Helen’s other hats include being Assistant Secretary for the NFU Branch in Peterborough, and being involved with Lambing Day, Open Farm Days and the Branch Ladies Luncheon in May each year.
It is not widely known that Helen once won a trophy for clay pigeon shooting and her pet tortoise has known her longer than anyone else alive!
Jonathan joined the team early in 2011 and brings a wealth of sales experience as well as a degree in Law (that should keep us on our toes!) He is currently out and about in the local area, talking to existing and potential clients and recently visited a Peterborough based commercial customer along with Loss Control Surveyor, Kenny Anderson.
Kayla, an experienced and valued Sales Executive, can be seen here with one of the branch's farming customers, Heather Gee. Kayla has a background in insurance and looks after the new car, home and lifestyle customers.
Kayla is embarrassed to admit now that she once ran through Harrods to get an autograph from Gareth Gates, although he did sign it on some Cartier paper!
As the only “un-licensed” member of staff, Christine does all of those tasks that don’t require a licence! In a bid to make processing paperwork and typing letters exciting, Christine also is involved with the planning and execution of all public awareness activities.
Christine is seen here in conversation with David Dykes of the John Clare Trust and John Clare himself!
In her spare time, Christine manages a social website for country women and is Chair of Governors at a Deeping School.
Carin has worked for the branch since 1994, and deals with all insurance issues. She talks to new and existing customers about changes to their cover and is responsible for processing changes to existing covers as well as looking after the accounts.
The Waldberg Shires are insured by NFU Mutual in Peterborough, and Carin can be seen here driving the dray with owner, David Lawless.
Having retired from her almost full time role dealing with General Insurance, Rosemary is now working mainly from home undertaking the task of contacting our customers in order to arrange financial reviews with Emma Wilcock to discuss making the most of their investments.
Helen is part of the team processing existing policies. She is seen here with local farmer and NFU Mutual local assessor, Charles Horrell, and his prize cow, the 2009 Royal Highland Show Breed Champion, Pode Hole Madeleine Zeta.
Helen is also a farmer of sheep, cattle, combinable crops and even 2 pet pigs! She has also had a very recent addition to care for, her new son, Edward.
Rachel joined the successful team at P M Brewer & H M Clarke on the 1st November 2011 and is currently undertaking training on personal line insurance, while at the same time supporting the team with general claims and policy administration. As a child Rachel was a keen horse rider / gymkhana competitor, where upon she regularly competed at a local level on her pony “Model” and she still has her rosettes safely at home!
Ruth joined the agency in the beginning of November on her return to the UK from Australia after travelling for three years. She and her partner are keen winter sports enthusiastics her last job being in a ski resort in Australia. Hers may be the first voice you hear when you ring us in the future so if you hear an Australian ‘twang’ you haven’ rung the wrong number.
Emma has worked for NFU Mutual since 2004 working in and around the Peterborough area. As our Financial Consultant, her role involves advising customers on all aspects of financial planning.
NFU Mutual Financial Consultants advise on NFU Mutual products and services and in special circumstances those of other providers.
Based in the Peterborough branch, Mark is an employee of NFU Mutual, rather than Brewer and Clarke, and provides a dedicated claims service to NFU Mutual and its policy holders in respect of accident damaged machinery and vehicles.
In his spare time, Mark manages an under 15 Colts football team and has been a keen dinghy sailor in the past.
