Hello from NFU Mutual in Shipston on Stour where we offer home, car and business insurance as well as pensions, investments and protection from our office in the heart of the town.
As a responsible local business, we feel it’s important to give something back so as well as supporting a number of events in and around Shipston, we also contribute to a number of good causes.
Different Strokes is a national charity launched in 1996 by young stroke survivors for young stroke survivors, for the purposes of active self-help and mutual support.
Local stroke victim Mr Mike Druce is planning to cycle from Lands End back to Oxhill to raise money for the charity. He is ex chairman of the charity, a post he took up after his stroke and has held for 4 years. We have paid for the cost of the recovery vehicle whilst he is on his ride, which he thinks, will take around 2 weeks.
On Friday 25th June we organised an Antiques Evening in Chadshunt to raise funds for RABI, farming's national charity that provides care and support for retired farmers, farm workers and their dependents.
Our resident marathon man Stuart McLean ran a number of events this year to raise money for Rotary including the Stratford half marathon, Two Castles. Stratford half marathon completed in 2 hours 8 mins.
