Welcome, from the NFU Mutual in Stafford team and from its two agents, Jennie Atkin and Simon Bates. Thanks for finding us! As an established insurance provider we strive to offer the very best to our clients both in terms of the products we sell, and the quality of service we provide.
Many of our farming clients have been loyal to us through the generations and we truly respect this loyalty.
We have been insuring commercial non farming businesses for around 10 years and currently have a diverse range of businesses and individuals insured through our office. From large commercial property portfolios to haulage fleets and manufacturers we have the expertise to provide insurance to almost any business. Individuals with private car and household insurance also make up a vast part of our client base.
In addition we are able to provide advice through our NFU Mutual Financial Consultant on life insurance, pensions and investments. Our products regularly receive awards from recognised independant bodies and we are still able to retain that truly personal service.

Jennie Atkin
Having been an NFU Mutual agent for nearly 30 years Jennie came to the Stafford office in 1992 and is a well known figure in the local farming and business communities. Specialising in farming and also commercial insurances.
Margaret Brammeld
With 8 years experience at the Stafford office, Margaret specialises in the processing of all household claims. She is also a valuable personal assistant to Jennie and Simon.
Simon Bates
Simon joined NFU Mutual in 2002 and became a partner in the business with Jennie Atkin in May 2006. Specialising in all aspects of commercial and farming insurances including corporate clients.
Denise Outram
Denise has been a team member for over 3 years and assists Sue with accounts and credit control. If you owe us money you will know who Denise is!
Susan Howard
Sue benefits from over 30 years experience at the Stafford office and is Office Manager. Specialising in specific client handling and all areas of client servicing from claims to accounts.
Rebecca Edwards
Beccy is one of our newest team members only joining in June 2007 but is a very quick learner and is already an asset to the Stafford office. A promising future awaits!
Scott Henry
Scott joined the team in 2003 and quickly progressed into a corporate client handling role dealing with complex claims issues and fleet business. He also advises on new commercial and personal lines policies.
Rachel Winkle
Being the very latest recruit to the Stafford office, Rachel joined in August 2007. Another integral member of the team who is developing her skills rapidly. Another promising future ahead.
Yvonne Housby
With over 20 years of experience at the Stafford office Yvonne provides invaluable back office support in the form of policy processing, claims as well as being a specific client handler.
Ian Williams -
Financial Consultant
Ian has a wealth of industry experience developed over the last 20 years. The last 5 have been spent with NFU Mutual where he gives advice on NFU Mutual Financial Services products. Giving advice on NFU Mutual Financial Services products Ian's speciality is the making and saving of his clients money.
