Oak Tree Farm is our nominated branch charity here at NFU Mutual in Stone. The charity provides successful opportunities for people with learning disabilities to work with plants, pottery and livestock. Their mission is to provide a safe, nurturing work place where team members can learn, grow and be valued for their contribution, whatever their level of ability.
We have made a donation of £250 towards their project to build a tea room which will increase access for team members giving catering / retail training and experience and, for some, a lead into work elsewhere. It will also raise awareness of all that the farm offers, to improve our retail space and to act as a focus for the community.
Oak Tree Farm is situated on a 15 acre smallholding near the village of Hilderstone, just down the road from our branch in Stone. Why not pop along and visit their shop, which sells a wide range of items produced on the farm?
