Your friendly local office, serving the whole of West Norfolk, is based just off the A47 in the Market Town of Swaffham.
On 17th July 2010 NFU Mutual Swaffham sponsored the World Snail Racing Championships for the 2nd year running at Congham Cricket Ground. It was a day of excitement and high speed racing enjoyed by all ages, with participants travelling from far and wide to compete. Despite heavy rainshowers there was a high turnout of participants and spectators along with national press coverage on the day. Local farmer (and NFU Mutual customer) Neil Riseborough was the Snail Master, which he took in his stride after reaching the dizzy heights of stardom on Britans Got Talent earlier in the year.
On 5th June 2010, NFU Mutual Swaffham sponsored a Fun Day at Swaffham Recreation Ground to celebrate the opening of the Fitness For All Adults Outdoor Activity Equipment Area, and to raise money for further improvements at the Rec'. Our Senior Agent, Lucy, along with the mayor Ian Sherwood, and Anne Greaves, who is a founder member of the Friends of the Rec cut the ribbon and released balloons to mark the opening of the event.
