We are proud to announce the launch of NFU Mutual Across The Weald.

All of us at the Tenterden office are thrilled to have achieved Premier Agency status for 11 consecutive years at NFU Mutual. We are the leading office for the NFU Mutual in the South East and have a unique service structure entitled Mutual Client Continuity. We have taken the high levels of NFU Mutual personal service to an increased level by allocating clients to a dedicated client section for servicing daily changes to their insurance policies and when the need arises-their claims as well.

We have moved into a newly refurbished converted barn in the heart of Tenterden with parking for 30 plus cars less than 50 yards away.

We are now part of a group of offices that have the strength to deal with individual policyholders through to large commercial businesses; our other newly opened commercial business office can be found in the town of Battle (East Sussex). www.nfumutual.co.uk/battle

Philip Cornish

Phil, as he prefers to be called, is the appointed agent for the NFU Mutual and the Group Secretary for The National Farmers Union. He was appointed to the role in 1991 so has clocked up 16 years and attained detailed local knowledge both in the insurance and business sectors of his work. His nick name of "Clip-board Cornish", from college days, is well founded as he is painfully organised, but at the same time retains a sense of fun in his work which he enjoys enormously. He agrees with the theory that men can't do two things at once....he appears to do, at the very least, six!!!

"At times I feel as though I am just the chief cook and bottle washer of the group, as I am fortunate enough to have such a highly qualified team around me. I really enjoy the role of "sitting on the outside-looking in" with many of our clients offering constructive observations and guidance on their many problems. The final pleasure is being able to be there when the disaster does happen and helping their business and or home get back to square one."

Stuart Doughty ACII

Stuart is highly qualified in both insurance, being ACII qualified, and in the business sector as he is also involved in his own family company that has been successfully trading in its own right for almost 100 years. Here at Tenterden, he has over 20 years of knowledge in all of the insurance products that we have to offer and his key role is servicing the accounts of existing clients whilst at the same time dealing with new business and personal insurance enquiries.

Robert Brand CII

Rob, as he prefers to be called, has mastered the "computer" with the utmost confidence. His technical ability is unrivalled, and for clients, his detailed knowledge of both products and systems means that he is almost your last and only stop for service and efficiency. He oversees the insurance servicing Team for us at the office in Tenterden, whilst at the same time being pleased to deal with any new enquiries in any aspects of personal and or business insurance.

John Chambers FCII

John has over 23 years experience in the insurance industry with nearly ten of those at NFU Mutual. With this breadth of knowledge behind him he is able to reassure any anxious clients safe in the knowledge that their query will be dealt with both efficiently and professionally. His specialist subject is business insurance, but as with all of the Team, he is qualified in all aspects of NFU Mutual products so will be able to help anyone.

Vanessa Hogarth

Vanessa is also fully qualified in all aspects of NFU Mutual products. She has taken over the responsibility of administering our accounts and at the same time being part of the daily service and sales team. She looks forward to assisting with any enquires you may have in respect of either new or existing insurance.

Susan Rawcliffe

Sue is part of our receptionist department which she operates in conjunction with Jackie (see below). Following our relocation of the office in Tenterden we have seen a substantial increase in the number of clients calling in to the office- which is fine with us- it is the perfect example of personal client contact and one of our strengths. Sue knows many of our clients by name so don't be surprised if in time she recognises your voice, what other company can offer you such a personal and understanding service? Sue also prepares the renewal papers, helps with the post and filing and many other important back office tasks.

Jackie Pearson

Jackie is the other important half of the receptionist department. She organises the greater part of the post and ably assists Sue in greeting clients who call into the office and filtering the telephone calls through to the service Team. If a client rings with a major crisis, it is often Jackie or Sue who are their first point of contact with the office, so a calm and welcoming greeting from either of them is exactly what the client needs in order for us to start the process of, in some cases, literally "picking up the pieces".

Jo Hill

Jo is the new member of the team and has taken on the responsibility of the main secretarial role in the office. We have a steady stream of correspondence to process and Jo has the unenviable challenge of typing and collating it all. Jo lives locally, and already knows many of our clients.

Alastair Olver - Financial Consultant

Alastair is the financial consultant for NFU Mutual Across The Weald, and has been advising our existing client base for the past 12 years. Alastair, like the rest of the Team lives locally so is able to call and offer advice at a time to suit you.

Mike Mendham - Corporate Financial Consultant

NFU Mutual have a specialist corporate financial advice team of which Mike is part of. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your companies financial planning - Mike is your man.
