As title sponsors for the BE Horse Trials we had high hopes for a wonderful two days at Crown Farm and we were not let down. Two days of lovely weather, lots of competitors, kids corner and trade stands catered for approximately 2000 visitors. Chris and Janet were wonderful hosts and a pleasure to work with for what was our first year with the team at the event. The Paxton and Whitfield stand within our marquee was a great last minute addition so thanks to Ross and Dave for attending.

We had a fabulous day at Foxbury Farm in Brize Norton on Open Farm Sunday, where over 2,800 people visited the farm and enjoyed sheep shearing, spinning and weaving, tractor and trailer rides and much more.

Our stand proved very popular as we ran out of goody bags and balloons, and we were delighted that nearly 150 people entered our prize draw to win a £50 Foxbury Farm Voucher. The winner of the competition was Mrs J Smart from Alvescot - "Well Done"

On the 23rd of October the new offices of NFU Mutual in Witney were opened by David Cameron MP, the opening was a huge success with over 60 people attending.

"After 8 years at Langdale Gate we have had to move to larger premises.  Whilst the Witney offices served us well over the years, the need to relocate had been only too apparent for some time.” said Agent Dan McDonald.

“Over the last few years, we have simply grown and grown.  We needed to do something sooner rather than later and have invested in a state of the art office.  On top of that, we have taken on two new staff this year and are complementing this with further employment opportunities in 2010.  With a considerable increase in business, we are clearly bucking the trend.”

Dan continued “Many of our customers still feel that dealing face to face with the local office is much more personal and tailored to suit their insurance requirements, and our new location will allow more people access to this service.”
