Critical Illness Policy
Have you considered how you would look after yourself or your family if you were unable to work due to a serious illness? Huge advances in medical techniques have eliminated many of the major causes of early death, however, thousands of people still suffer serious illnesses such as cancer and heart attacks every year.
What if you survive a critical illness such as a heart attack or stroke and require changes to your lifestyle such as modifications to your home or costly nursing care? These are just two areas that could have a serious financial impact on your lifestyle.
NFU Mutual can help you survive financially with a Critical Illness Policy which will pay out a lump sum if, during the term of the policy, you are diagnosed with one of the critical illnesses we define in our policy, as long as the premiums are paid. NFU Mutual guarantees the agreed premiums will not rise irrespective of changes in your health.
We cover only the critical illnesses we define in our policy and no others. These include: cancer (excluding less advanced cases); heart attack (of specified severity); stroke (resulting in permanent symptoms), and total permanent loss of independent existence. You can find full details of the illnesses and conditions we cover by asking for our Key Features.
