We talk a lot about the work we do for our communities, and rightly so – we’re proud of it. But to make a difference and ensure we’re always doing our best, we need to make sure our people are properly looked after, too.
That’s why we give them the same care and attention as our customers. We’ve worked hard to build an environment where first-class service can flourish – here are just a few things we’ve done for our people, and what they’ve done in return:

  • In 2015, achieved world-class employee engagement, scoring 4.3 out of 5
  • Committed to the development of our employees, delivering on average five training sessions per employee, 3,698 of which were face-to-face
  • Enabled 247 members of staff to volunteer 1,729 hours of time to benefit the communities near where they work
  • Employees raised £145,000 for our corporate charity, Guide Dogs, to fund one Guide Dog For life, and sponsor and name up to 19 puppies
