Breakdown Cover

Our Car Insurance policies include Mutual Assist breakdown cover provided by RAC as standard, offering assistance more than 1/4 of a mile from your home, cover against accidental mis-fuelling, a small hire car for 48 hours and local recovery to a garage within 20 miles if the vehicle cannot be repaired at the roadside.

For extra peace of mind, you can choose to upgrade your breakdown cover to National Assist or National plus Home Assist.

National Assist - £19.99 per year: all of the benefits of Mutual Assist plus:

  • Recovery of the vehicle, driver and passengers to any UK destination if the vehicle cannot be repaired at the roadside.
  • Option of a hire car, alternative travel or overnight accommodation for drivers and passengers should the vehicle need a longer fix.

National plus Home Assist - £34.99 per year: all of the benefits of Mutual Assist and National Assist plus:

  • Assistance at or within 1/4 of a mile of your home.
