Diversity and Inclusion
At NFU Mutual we are committed to delivering our Diversity and Inclusion strategy to create a culture of inclusion that encourages and celebrates diversity, promotes inclusivity and supports our employees to thrive.

Our Diversity and Inclusion strategy
Our strategy builds on the progress we have already made and sets out our long-term ambition to strengthen inclusion and equity across the organisation.
In addition to the great awareness-raising initiatives that we currently have in place, we have moved toward outcome-focussed activities that will support us to deliver our business objectives.
Our activity
As part of our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, 2025 saw us maintain our affiliation with the Race at Work Charter and Disability Confident Scheme. We also partner with the LGBTQ+ Insurance Network (LINK) and the Group for Autism, Insurance, Investment and Neurodiversity (GAIN) to better support our employees in the LGBTQ+ community and those who are neurodivergent.
We also offer employees an inclusive language learning programme. The course includes self-guided and face-to-face learning options to help employees learn about respectful banter and modern terminology, supporting their awareness during conversations with colleagues and customers.
Women in Finance

Since 2018, NFU Mutual has been a signatory to the Women in Finance Charter. We met our 2025 Women in Finance Charter target, with women now representing over 40% of our senior management population.

National Inclusion Week
National Inclusion Week (NIW) takes place in September each year and is dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to create inclusive workplaces.
As part of 2025 National Inclusion Week celebrations, NFU Mutual held a panel event focused on allyship, sponsorship and leadership. Chaired by HR Director Kenny Graves, the panel featured four of our recently appointed Senior Sponsors, who proudly support each of our Employee Network Groups. The session focused on the urgency of embedding inclusion, how employees can learn from each other and how diversity can strengthen our business outcomes.

Silver Standard TIDE Award 2025
In 2025, we took part in Onvero’s (formerly known as ENEI) Talent, Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) benchmark exercise - a rigorous assessment of inclusive practices across ten key areas including Recruitment, Training, Engagement, Wellbeing and more.
We’re proud that NFU Mutual has been awarded the Silver Standard TIDE Award for 2025, recognising our significant progress and ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.
