Buildings Insurance
Buildings Insurance covers the structure of your home - the roof, walls, ceilings, floor, doors and windows - as well as any permanent fixtures and fittings, such as your kitchen or bathroom.
Contents Insurance
Imagine tipping your house upside down and giving it a shake. Anything that falls out would be contents. This includes carpets, curtains and other soft furnishings.
Even if you are only looking for Contents Only Insurance we'll still need information about the building to help us generate a quote.
Buildings and Contents Insurance
The two, combined.

Build date
How accurate do I need to be?
When telling us when your home was built, it's always helpful if you can be as accurate as you can. You should be able to find the date your home was built on your property deeds or estate agent particulars. If you don't have these to hand, please estimate as best you can.
All questions are mandatory unless marked '(Optional)'.
What is Accidental Damage Cover?
Accidental Damage Cover provides cover against unexpected damage that occurs as a result of an unexpected or non-deliberate action.
For example, the cost of replacing or cleaning a carpet after knocking over a glass of wine would be covered by accidental damage cover.
What is Personal Belongings Insurance?
Personal Belongings Insurance covers home contents that you take outside of the home.
Personal Belongings Insurance with our Home and Lifestyle Insurance covers your home contents (including up to £1,000 for money) against theft, loss or accidental damage anywhere in the British Isles and for up to 90 days abroad each year. Any individual items you take outside of the home worth more than £600 must be specified on the Home and Lifestyle Insurance policy.
Compulsory excess is the amount you have to pay if a claim is made on your Home Insurance before we pay out.
Our compulsory excess is £100 for both buildings and contents claims, including claims for accidental damage, with the exception of escape of water, flood and subsidence claims where the compulsory excess will be higher. Your policy documentation will outline these amounts.
Voluntary excess is the amount that you choose to pay in addition to the compulsory excess if a claim is made on your Home Insurance before we pay out.
The amount you set your voluntary excess to be impacts the premium you pay.
