Harvest your potential

At NFU Mutual our roots are firmly planted in UK agriculture. We’ve been helping farmers protect the things they value since 1910 and it’s our passion for farming and our knowledge of this sector which has earned us a reputation for providing a personal, local service – in fact, you could say that farming and country values are at the very heart of everything we do.

But, what about you? Do you know what you want to do after completing your studies?

We understand that there are some of us who have a clear goal for their career such as Doctors, Pilots, Architects or Vets. For many of us, knowing what you want to do as a career after you have finished your studies is neither easy nor straightforward. Often we stumble into a job more by accident than design, so it makes sense to explore opportunities. Careers fairs are a great way to see what’s out there and talk to representatives of businesses to see if they have the opportunities that would be right for you.

From our underwriting and claims employees right through to the specialists working in our marketing and HR departments, our knowledge and passion for agriculture really help us make a difference to our customers and the rural community.

If you share our passion for agriculture and the countryside then why not talk to us about turning that passion into a career? We are always on the look out for talented young people with a background in agriculture or land-based studies and, at NFU Mutual, we really value and nurture this knowledge.

Our team will be attending the Farmers Weekly Agricultural Careers Fair at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Thursday 10th November so why not come along and see what we have to offer? We’ll also be running a seminar during the day on building your own successful business. For more information, contact us @nfumcareers on Twitter.

NFU Mutual has a wide range of exciting career opportunities across the UK that will enable you to use the skills and knowledge you have picked up from your agricultural study. You might be surprised at the range of options available, both as an employee or working in your own business as an NFU Mutual Agent.
