Recycling to improve lives

We’ve been donating furniture we no longer need for over a decade, giving items a second life with organisations that need them. From community centres and schools to hospices and charities, we help local groups update key spaces and redirect funding to where it matters most – delivering the valuable services and support they offer our communities.

6,360kg of metal recycled from our warehouse

In 2022, we donated 336 pieces of furniture to local charities and community groups. A further £4,860 has been raised from surplus furniture sales and donated to The Shakespeare Hospice and The Myton Hospices.

Richard Anthony, Senior Workplace Analyst at NFU Mutual, said: “Small charities play an integral role in communities, and we are extremely proud to do our bit in supporting their vital work. Our scheme is a well-established part of our waste management programme and it’s great to see our old office furniture receive a new lease of life for a worthy cause.”
