NFU Mutual agencies unite to strengthen service across Exeter, Tiverton and South Molton

NFU Mutual Exeter Agency has merged with NFU Mutual Tiverton and South Molton Agency, bringing together two established teams to create a stronger, more dynamic presence across the region.

The newly formed NFU Mutual Exeter, Tiverton and South Molton Agency combines deep local knowledge with a broader range of expertise, strengthening its ability to support customers with high-quality, personal service.

As part of the transition, Richard Pyle, Senior Agent at Exeter Agency, will retire from his role in July 2026 after a distinguished 40-year career. He will remain in a consultancy role until 18 July 2026, supporting both clients and colleagues through the transition.

Reflecting on his career and the merger, Richard said:
“It’s been a privilege to serve the Exeter community over the past four decades. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built here. This merger brings together two strong agencies, and I have every confidence that the combined team will continue to deliver the personal service and trusted advice our clients value.”

The newly merged agency will be led by Mark Potter, Tahlia Pow, Emily Mills, Pete Randerson and James Maxwell, who bring a wealth of experience and a shared ambition for future growth.

Emily Mills said:
“This is an exciting step forward for our business. By bringing our teams together, we’re creating greater capacity and proficiency, which allows us to serve our customers even better.  With a team of 40 and plans to grow further, we’re investing in our people and strengthening the specialist support we can offer across a wide range of needs.”

Mark Potter added:
“This merger is about building on strong foundations. Together, we’re enhancing what we already do well—offering trusted, personal service backed by deep local knowledge. Richard’s support during this transition has been invaluable, and we’re grateful for his continued guidance as we move into this next chapter.”

NFU Mutual Exeter, Tiverton and South Molton will retain its Exeter office and team, ensuring continuity for clients. The Tiverton and South Molton offices will also remain open, maintaining a strong local presence across all three locations while expanding the expertise available to customers across the region.
