Welcome to NFU Mutual Ashford, Tenterden & Whitfield agency. Whilst our offices are based in the heart of Kent, we are also less than 40 mins from Central London.
You are welcome to come and visit us at any of our three offices where our experienced team will be pleased to assist you. However, we recognise you have busy lives so we are happy to visit you at your home or business. This is all part of the personal approach you will experience when dealing with us. By getting to know you, we are able to provide tailored advice to ensure you have the right cover, which can be reviewed annually to ensure your cover continues to be relevant to your needs. We pride ourselves on our professional, friendly and personal approach.
We have five teams to cover all your needs:
Corporate insurance – insurance and risk management advice for large corporate businesses. Our wide range of products are tailored to meet your needs and include property, fleet, business interruption, directors and officers insurance, product recall and cyber insurance. We particularly specialise in the food and drink sectors. We also offer a risk management health and safety advice service.
Commercial insurance – we offer standard package and tailored policies for all sizes of SME business. We cover most types of business but specialise in farming, food and drink, retail, hospitality and office-based businesses. Our Account Executives can visit you annually to review your insurance. We also offer a risk management health and safety advice service.
Personal insurance – we offer a range of standard home products such as building and contents cover, which also includes pet, horse & rider and travel additional covers. We also offer a range of motor products – including personal car, commercial vehicle, tractor and vintage cars.
Private client – our Bespoke range of products are designed specifically for high value properties in particular where there are contents including valuables and/or art. Our specialist team visit you in your home to help you get the right cover and can review annually to ensure you are adequately covered. We also offer products to cover high value cars, holiday homes and yachts.
Financial services – we have a dedicated team who are able to advise you on financial planning including protection, pensions and investments. Our aim is to provide the very best insurance, financial services and risk management solutions for farm and rural businesses, commercial business and private individuals.
As a customer of our business you will have a dedicated Account Handler backed up by an experienced team of Customer Service Advisers to ensure we are always there to assist you. Our Account Handlers also deal with all aspects of claims so if you do need to make a claim they are on hand to talk you through the process.

I have worked for the agency since 2009, originally dealing with our financial accounts before moving into the customer services team. My principal role is dealing with all types of business and personal insurance enquiries. In addition, I am a Financial Service Coordinator and I can discuss which products we offer and arrange for our Financial Adviser to call or visit you.

I joined the Agency in June 2020 as part of the customer service team. My previous roles have developed my passion for customer service and in my short time working with NFU Mutual I have started to take a keen interest in Great British agriculture. I joined the agency in 2010 and I work Wednesday to Friday, predominately based in Ashford. My main role is to collate and organise our advised renewals including undertaking telephone reviews of your insurance. I am fully licensed in all of our insurance products and also provide phone support to our Account Handlers. I also specialise in our National Intermediary Service (NIS) to help assist with more niche insurance needs.
I work closely with our Risk Management Adviser and can refer you to them for health and safety advice.

I have worked at the Ashford office since 2010 and I am part of the customer service team. I joined the team in 2007 as a member of the servicing team. My primary role is dealing with existing business enquiries, relating to motor, personal, equine and business products. I also specialise in our high net worth policies and I work closely with our Risk Management Adviser providing customers with assistance on health & safety matters.

I joined the agency in June 2018, as part of the administration team. In 2019 I transferred to the customer service team. I can assist you with policy changes or any other queries by phone or face-to-face and I am also available for quotations if you wish to pop into the office. I am fully licensed on NFU Mutual motor, personal and commercial products. I can also introduce you to our financial planning and risk management teams.

I have been working for the Agency since 2014 with over 10 years of insurance experience, originally arranging insurance for our new clients before deciding to move into customer service team. My main role is dealing with all types of commercial and personal lines of insurance. I also have a great deal of experience in our National Intermediary Service to help clients with more complex insurance needs. I can also refer you to our in-house NFU Mutual Financial Adviser for help discussing things like investments, life insurance, income protection and pension products.

I joined the team in 2020 from an agricultural background. My experience across a variety of agricultural businesses helps me understand the current industry challenges. My role in the customer service team is to assist existing customers with enquiries about their motor and personal insurance policies. I am available through phone communications or face-to-face. I joined the Ashford agency in 2006 and work in the service team Monday – Thursday. This is another service we offer and means we can meet as many of your insurance needs as possible all under one roof.

I joined the business in early 2017 as part of the corporate and commercial team. Much of my earlier career was spent working in the City of London for investment banks and brokers as an equity sales trader for pension funds and hedge funds. I specialise in building lasting relationships with local businesses in the food, drink and hospitality sectors. I assist all kinds of businesses in arranging insurance cover to meet their individual needs.

My role mainly involves visiting you at your home to ensure your policy provides you with the best cover and remains relevant to you. I am also licensed for small commercial or business requirements you may have attached to your property or land.
I joined the customer service team in Ashford in 2012 as a dedicated Account Handler helping you with your enquiries for your personal, business and farm insurance. As of 2020 I am now responsible for visiting existing customers to review your insurance portfolio. This ensures we better understand your business and so can advise you on the covers you need to protect you and your business.
