Evolve 365 battery packs take to the streets of Stratford

Mobile phone battery packs have been donated by our head office I.T Department to Stratford upon Avon Street Pastors, to help keep people safe in the town.

14 devices from the Evolve 365 initiative were given to support the work of trained volunteers from local churches who work closely with the police, health service and community safety groups.

Maureen Green, who co-ordinates the Stratford upon Avon Street Pastors said, “We aim to be a visible presence around the roads within the night time economy, offering a helping hand and listening ear to all we meet – the vulnerable and rough sleepers, those celebrating or worse for wear and those who need someone to talk to.”

The Street Pastors, who patrol in teams on Friday evenings from 2030 until the early hours, have radio links to CCTV and door staff but often need to help revellers whose mobiles have run out of battery and can’t get home.

Dave Brindley, NFU Mutual’s Head of Technology Adoption was pleased to help. “It’s a small donation which could have a big impact. Knowing that we’ve played a part in this brilliant scheme feels great. Supporting our communities is part of our DNA here, so it made complete sense to utilise our assets for the greater good.”
