Good causes across the Midlands benefit from £221,000 as part of NFU Mutual’s national charitable fund

NFU Mutual’s agent and branch offices across the Midlands have nominated 28 local charities in the region to receive a combined donation of £221,172 from our 2025 Agency Giving Fund.
To ensure these donations reached all corners of the UK and were directed to supporting essential front-line community services, NFU Mutual’s agency offices and branches, with more than 280 locations nationwide, were given the opportunity to nominate local charities to receive a share of the fund.
From providing food parcels, donating to frontline health charities and enabling outreach mental health services to continue, the fund is making a difference to communities across the region.
One of the charities to benefit in the Midlands was Oak Tree Farm Rural Project, which was nominated by NFU Mutual Stafford Agency, receiving a donation of £7,899.
Wendy Robinson, Chief Officer for Oak Tree Farm Rural Project, explained how the donation helped: “We are absolutely delighted to receive the donation. The money will go towards refurbishing the old toilet block and creating a staff room and quiet space. The old toilets are no longer fit for purpose and need replacing so the grant will make a huge difference to the team members, staff and volunteers who use them.”

Another cause to benefit was Space 2 Talk, which was nominated by NFU Mutual Brackley Agency, also receiving a donation of £7,899.
Pete Spink, Co-founder and Trustee at Space 2 Talk, said: “This generous donation will help us buy more equipment and train new walk leaders, so we can welcome even more people into our walks. The need in our community is growing, and we want to make sure everyone has the chance to feel supported. Your support means we can keep bringing people together, offering connection, wellbeing, and hope.”
Kylie Robson-Lee, NFU Mutual regional manager for the Midlands region, added: “Charities like Oak Tree Farm Rural Project and Space 2 Talk are making a wonderful difference to our communities in these challenging times, and we are proud that our agents have nominated a wide range of local causes across the region to benefit from NFU Mutual’s national fund.”
