On 9th February 2018, NFU Mutual’s Ipswich agency held a charity function at Trinity Park, aiming to raise money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I).

The charity supports farmers in England and Wales and has two resident care homes, Beaufort House in Burnham on Sea and Mansion House in Bury St Edmunds, both offering independent living accommodation.

Over 200 National Farmers Union members, along with their families and friends, attended the event. Many kind clients and staff contributed generously on the night, taking part in the event’s auction and raffle to raise a huge £3675. With donations still rolling in after the event, the team have now collected over £4000.

Paul Plumridge, Group Secretary for the National Farmers Union and Senior Agent for NFU Mutual Ipswich, would like to thank all who attended, gave so generously and made the event such a success. “I’m delighted that NFU Mutual Ipswich, along with the local farming community, has successfully raised over £4,000 for R.A.B.I.   It was great to be able to bring local farmers together to celebrate and support the charity’s work.”  The event has been so well received that the Ipswich agency are already looking to organise something similar next year.
