Tenterden Agency is delighted to have nominated local charity, Dom’s Food Mission, to receive a donation of £3,164 from a national £1m ‘Agency Giving Fund’ launched by NFU Mutual’s Head Office.
In light of the national emergency this country is facing, NFU Mutual, the UK’s leading rural insurer, has allocated £1m to help local frontline charities at this difficult time.
To help ensure this support reaches all corners of the UK, NFU Mutual has reached out to its Appointed Representative network of local Agents. Consisting of circa 300 independent Agency businesses and 9 NFU Mutual Branches, each have been given the opportunity to nominate a handful of local charities to receive a share of this fund.
Locally, the Tenterden Agency have nominated Dom’s Food Mission (DfM) to receive this support and enable the charity to continue its efforts on the frontline, during the Covid-19 pandemic. Helping to feed less fortunate people and individuals in isolation around the community. Day and night, DfM’s team members collect donated and surplus food, preventing tonnes of needed sustenance from being sent directly to landfill.
Dom Warren, Founder and CEO of Dom’s Food Mission, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to NFU Mutual Tenterden and the company’s Agency Giving Fund for helping us with funding through this scary and uncertain situation.
The funding will help us massively to keep our vans running and teams in PPE! Such a wonderful thing to do and we’re grateful for your kindness!”
