Our Motor Trade Select Insurance policy offers you the flexibility of choosing the cover that meets your business needs now and in the future.
What we can cover you for:
- Road Risks - cover for vehicles belonging to you and your customers including driving and moving them as part of your day-to-day activities. You can tailor cover to meet your needs, for example, to include social, domestic and pleasure and unaccompanied demonstration.
- Employers' Liability - up to £10 million as standard.
- Public and Product Liability - damages arising from injury to the public or damage to their property, caused by your products, £2.5 million as standard. Higher limits available.
- Property - All Risks cover as standard for buildings, equipment and stock at your business premises. Includes seasonal stock increase of 30% during February, March, August and September and cover for EV cables as standard.
- Commercial Legal Expenses - the cost of legal representation to defend your legal rights, and any agreed compensation awards, up to £250,000.
- Business Interruption - loss of income or gross profit due to damage to property you use at your premises.
- Money and Malicious Attack - loss or theft of money on your premises during business hours, and while being taken to the bank or in a safe on your premises overnight, up to £5,000.
- Engineering Insurance - accidental damage or breakdown of machinery and plant.
- Engineering Inspection Services provided by Vulcan Inspection Services - plant and equipment inspections and certification to prevent injury or business interruption, and to meet your regulatory obligations.
- Goods in Transit - loss or damage to your property while it’s in transit.
- Environmental Liability - damages arising from injury to the public or damage to their property caused by pollution, including the cost of cleaning your own premises if required by a regulatory authority, up to £1 million.
- Terrorism - protection against property damage and loss of income caused by acts of terrorism in England, Scotland and Wales.
- Group Personal Accident - protecting yourself and employees aged 16 to 65 against the financial impact of death or disability following an accident or illness.
- Business Travel - cover for you and your employees who travel abroad on business including access to a dedicated 24/7 helpline.
What's not included:
- Employers’ Liability - injury arising from any vehicles requiring compulsory motor insurance.
- Public and Product Liability - injury to any employees – this is specifically covered by Employers’ Liability insurance, which is a legal requirement if you have employees.
- Property - theft of property left in the open (other than vehicles) and theft not involving a break in.
- Business Interruption - all losses if there hasn’t been an insured property claim (it doesn’t have to be with us).
- Money and Malicious Attack - forgery or fraudulent use of a computer or electronic transfer.
- Engineering Insurance - gradual deterioration and damage caused by maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification or misuse.
- Engineering Inspection Services - Damage to plant caused by its inability to withstand testing as part of the inspection.
- Goods in Transit - theft from an unattended vehicle, unless locked, keys removed and there is forcible entry.
- Environmental Liability - pollution from storage tanks partially or wholly underground.
- Commercial Legal Expenses - costs and legal action that haven’t been agreed in advance and cases where there is no reasonable prospect of a successful outcome.
- Terrorism - cyber attack, including hacking, phishing and denial of service.
- Group Personal Accident - pre-existing health conditions and Illness appearing within 21 days of the start of the cover.
- Business Travel - travelling to countries where the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office has issued a warning.
