Mark Simpson

Agent

Since joining NFU Mutual and NFU Cymru in June 2009, I have worked closely with the staff in the Brecon branch to ensure we offer a high level of service to all our clients. My role involves a wide range of duties including dealing face to face with customers, overseeing the management of the branch, its staff and supporting the local community where possible. A key part of my role is dealing with farmers who rely on us to provide them with advice and guidance in many aspects of insurance. I enjoy meeting farmers in the comfort of their home and finding out how NFU Mutual and NFU Cymru can help protect them and their business.

I specialise in commercial insurances and commercial insurance account management, which means that I provide a single point of contact for our larger commercial clients at the branch. I believe that insurance solutions however complex should be simple and easy to understand. Some people may believe that insurance is boring, but the people, the situations, problems and the solutions are not. Protecting you, your business, and your people is absolutely paramount in the work that I do, which allows you to remain strong and confident in the work that you do. I have worked in the Brecon office since January 2010. I am the Office Manager and oversee the day to day running of the office and management of staff. I deal with new and existing customers, and hold all product licences from motor and personal, to commercial and farming. I have always lived in the Brecon area and have been brought up on a local farm. With my knowledge of insurance and farming, I would like to be able to see what NFU Mutual can do for you.

I joined NFU Mutual in August 2013 and thoroughly enjoy my role in the Brecon office. I deal with all general office duties, providing insurance quotes to new and existing customers including any mid-term alterations and claims handling, right through to the more complex farm and commercial policies.

Having started in October 2018, I am still new to NFU Mutual, but already thoroughly enjoy my role within the Brecon office. Currently I deal with personal and motor quotes and help ensure the smooth running of the office.

Financial Adviser

I am the financial adviser for the Brecon branch and can advise you on areas such as investment and retirement planning, protecting yourself and your assets against the unexpected and also Inheritance Tax planning. I can visit you at home or at work in the day time or evening and I offer a no obligation consultation to help address your financial needs. In my spare time, my main passions are sport and music. I have represented Wales in athletics many times and am also the lead singer and guitarist in a band that perform regularly across Wales. I also enjoy football and rugby as well as many other sports. I am currently learning welsh as my wife and daughter both speak it and I want to be able to understand them when they’re discussing me!!
