NFU Mutual offices celebrate merger

NFU Mutual offices celebrate merger to make new flagship agency in central Lancashire

NFU Mutual in Chorley has joined forces with the Preston & Blackburn Agency to create a brand new flagship office in Lancashire. The merger, which took place on the 1st December 2021, will allow NFU Mutual Preston, Blackburn and Chorley to better serve its members across a wider geographical region.

Jo Oliver, Adam Lovelock and Jessica Rigby welcome new business partner James Diaper to the team. James was in a ‘caretaker’ role at Chorley throughout much of 2021 and now joins in a permanent capacity to make four partners and who, together, have over 50 years of experience working at NFU Mutual.

James has been with NFU Mutual for several years, with extensive experience and expertise to add to the already highly successful team. On joining the partnership, James said: “I’m delighted to join such a progressive agency, and really looking forward to meeting the many existing and new customers within the offices. It is a really exciting time for us all.”

Senior Agent Jo Oliver said: “As you would expect in a progressive business, our team will continue to expand and we are actively recruiting additional team members who are able to provide the local, personal service which we are recognised for and that our new Chorley customers can expect to benefit from. With a focus on protecting what matters and keeping customers at the heart of our business, we are always looking to improve on the service we offer and this merger will help us to continue to do our best by them.”

Senior Agent Adam Lovelock continues: “While Agriculture is still at the core of what we do, the new combined agency has many long standing, successful relationships with a wide variety of businesses in the region. The merger will allow us to extend our specialist provision for commercial businesses, such as those within Food & Beverage, Leisure & Tourism, Manufacturing and Engineering sectors.”
